Dr. Stephen "David" Hall is a psychotherapist, teacher, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and counseling director of the mental health clinic, Haven Family Psychiatry, in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the United States. Dr. Hall founded the Narrative Institute in 2011 to provide continuing education workshops for psychotherapists who wanted in learn more about the application of narrative in behavioral health. He has since been happy to see the Narrative Institute expand its offering to explore the use of narrative and story in other settings.

 Dr. Hall is also the Co-Founder and head of content for PsychMaven.
