Tennessee Association for Marriage and Family Therapy The Tennessee Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT) is a division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), an international professional organization established in 1942. Together, TAMFT and AAMFT are dedicated to the promotion of the profession of marriage and family therapy. The professional members of TNAMFT are committed to the advancement of the MFT practice based on principles to enhance individual and family well-being for all Tennessee families. Dr. David Hall currently serves as the East Tennessee Representative on the TAMFT board.

Clifton Mitchell, Ph.D. Clifton Mitchell, Ph.D. is the author of Effective Techniques for Dealing with Highly Resistant Clients and conducts trainings on dealing with resistance in therapy where he presents cutting-edge approaches for managing psychological resistance. In addition, he has trained thousands of mental health professionals in the management of difficult, perplexing legal and ethical issues in an exciting, dynamic game show format. He has also been the keynote speaker at conventions and taught hundreds of mental health organizations and businesses on techniques for improving communications and for creating change through the precise use of language.

Bill O'Hanlon, MS, LMFT Bill O'Hanlon, M.S., is psychotherapist, prolific author, and popular workshop presenter. He co-developed Solution-Oriented Therapy, a form of Solution focused brief therapy and has authored or co-authored over 28 books (ranging from brief therapy for various clinical topics to The Lazy Man's Guide to Success and "Write is a Verb").
