Workshop Learning Objectives
Participants should be able to discuss the interactions between depressive disorders and addictions and how each condition can exacerbate the other.
Participants will be able to identify 3 empirically validated treatments that address both disorders.
Participants will be able to speak about the mechanism of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and it's suggested roles in the treatment of depression and cravings.
Participants will be able to discuss the importance of treating mood and addictive disorders at the same time vs. separately.
Participants will be able to speak to relevant access issues to care for those with dual diagnoses
